Oh brother

Meet at 9 for breakfast.  Early as usual, standing inside the door waiting for my brother to arrive, I noticed most of the customers were senior citizens.  Who else goes out for breakfast at 9:00?  Retired people.   I reminded myself that my brother and I are both now retired  so we also fit thaat description.

I like to watch people so I guess I became a little absorbed  in everyone coming and going.  An older gentleman says,  “Good morning.”

He is wearing bib overalls, a white t shirt, boots, and a leather biker hat.   I think to myself… “this guy reminds me of my Grandpa Carl.”

I look a little closer… it’s my brother.

This cracked me up, Ruth! My brother and I are both retired, but we live two hours apart. I wish we lived closer, but this is such a big improvement. Less than four years ago, we lived three long days apart and only got to see each other once a year. Glad you and your brother get to spend time together.
