Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine

ImageThis is a picture of my maternal grandmother and her sister.  My aunt gave it to me when I moved into my first home as a married woman.  She had kept it for many many years in her own home but wanted me to have it because I had been named after my grandmother.   The picture was taken in the early 1900’s and is in the original frame.  My aunt had painted the frame to match her bedroom.

My grandmother, Ruth, is the younger girl in the picture.

  3. That is a lovely picture, Ruth. The coloring is so soft and much nicer than the old black and white you so often see. A very nice item that is yours.
