My Happy List E-X-P-A-N-D-S

Again I am blown away by comments and information from fellow bloggers and  friends.  I was hoping to expand  My Happy (play) List by hearing the music that others cherish and play over and over again.   So a former student of mine tells me her happy song is “Barton Hollow”  by The Civil Wars.  I immediately “google” it…. “you tube”  it…. to see what she likes.   And I find a new favorite.  In fact I find a new favorite band!

I love the harmonies that The Civil Wars produce.  Inspired by The Beach Boys, Billie Holliday, and Johnny Cash with Appalachian-flavored melodies and beats… they deserve some audience time… Check out their website and this video…..

Enjoy……

and send me some more of your favorites… I am loving this.

  1. I think I like it a lot. Very pretty. Their harmony is so good, and their voices are soothing.
