This week Share Your World will be a little different. Here is the scenario for you to come up with some fun answers. It’s all about using your imagination and a bucket list.
Almost everyone has heard of a bucket list which is a list of things you want to do before you die. List 4 things off your bucket list that you would like to share with us. Assume that money is no object. Have a lot of fun with it. Would you like to fly to the moon, dive to the bottom of the ocean, live a month in India or learn how to tap dance? What is on your list

I never made a bucket list and seriously never heard of one until I watched the movie with the same name. The concept is intriguing. I guess I am one of those people who just let life happen to them so a Bucket List didn’t seem like something I needed or wanted.
I could think of a few things I would like to do before it’s all over. Thinking I better hurry up, too, or it could be too late!
# oneI would like to write and publish a book. I loved to write as a child, but then LIFE came along and for the next 40 years I was too busy raising a family and pursuing a career. Now that I am retired, I guess it’s time to “GIT R DONE” Still not sure I can do it. I have received a lot of encouragement from my WordPress blogger friends. I took half of a Children’s Literature Book Course years ago (dropped out because I did not have enough time to complete it) and I have a few ideas floating around in my head.
# two The Christmas before I retired, I asked for a guitar…and got one! I played a few chords in college days but never really got my skills on. I would like to be able to play … just enough to sing along with some of the oldies. Take some lessons, Ruth! C’mon what are you waitin’ for?
# three I would like to travel a little bit. Nothing major, just see some of the good old USA that I haven’t seen yet. Possibilities are Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, New Orleans, Key West, NYC, Alaska. (Maybe even go to France… I have a penpal from Challes-Les-Eaux who has begged me to come for several years.)
# four Remodel my kitchen. Now this is gonna have to happen soon because in 20 more years I don’t plan on cooking much! This one may get done this year, if I get my act together.
Four things on my list – Week 4 – Works 4 me!

I know all about procrastinating. It’s my middle name (by deed poll). I think that the way to get going is to commit yourself to a done list. Start off with the guitar lessons and work from there. Told to you by BPE (biggest procrastinator ever). 🙂

This is an ambitious list, Ruth–and I hope you get to do all that brings you satisfaction and blesses you! Especially the writing part, as you’ve got bushels of talent and ability bursting out of you! Go for it, Git R Done, Just Do It!! God bless you Big–love, sis Caddo

This is actually difficult – maybe because I have too many things I want to do and see…?
1. Under travel… I’d love to go to Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Greece, the South of France, all over Italy, Iceland, and find my ancestors in Norway. (I wouldn’t mind living on a beautiful beach somewhere.)
2. I’d love to learn how to make gorgeous flower arrangements. Open a business?
3. I’d love to own an 8 mm camera and make short movies (montages) of people set to music. Maybe a business?
4. I’d like to get in the best physical shape of my life – once and for all. Stop trying to lose weight and actually do it!! (Maybe run a marathon?) haha!
5. Fall in love again, this time with Mr. Right.
As you can see, I put down 5 things. Hey, I told you I was a rule breaker!
I just realized I was supposed to do this list at a different blog. I’ll just leave it here with you, Ruth. I like your Guitar, Kitchen, and travel plans, as well.

You don’t have to list this on a different blog.. this is great! You know, if you can accomplish number 5…. none of the rest will matter! I wish that for you.. you deserve it! (I should have listed the physical shape thing, too… I figure I will finally be thin after I die.) LOL

I’d love to write a book but wonder if anyone would want to read it, I’m taking my granddaughter to guitar lessons today, traveling in the US is great because we do have some beautiful places to see (come to New England), and I think I had that wallpaper in a kitchen in 1971.

Well I wonder that same thing…. who would read it? Actually may come to Vermont next fall with my brother and his wife to visit a cousin and see the sights….
I may have had some contact paper with that same pattern, too. I used a lot of contact paper back in the 70’s to cover EVERYTHING!

Vermont is beautiful and many areas are still unspoiled and reflective of a simpler time.

These seem like great, attainable goals. I wish that I had learned to play the guitar, but life is happening all over the place here and I think if I squeezed one more thing in, my head would explode. I feel pretty fortunate that I’m living my bucket list right now, with all the writing!

You can only do so much. I thought during retirement I would have time for EVERYTHING but that did not happen…yet
