Share Your World – 2013 Week 16

share your worldOh I am so far behind I don’t even know how far behind I am.  But, no one seems to care if I just jump in sporadically and share my world.  Thanks, Cee, for the questions.  I am still dreaming of your ocean pictures and hoping to come to Oregon this summer to visit my daughter!

Here is my contribution:

Are you awake before dawn?  Or are you awake before noon?
I am an early bird.   That’s the farmer (and married to a farmer) part of me.  I am usually up by 6 but have been known to sleep in until 7:00 AM!   I get things done in the morning and gradually lose my energy later in the day… so early to bed, early to rise!

Are you usually late, early, or right on time?

I am early.  It’s my mother’s fault.  She thought it rude to arrive anywhere late (even if you had a good reason)  so she trained me from an early age to be early and “on time” at the latest.  Unfortunately I married a person who is always late. We have gradually over the past 41 years merged our earliness and lateness.  He is more likely to be on time than he used to be, and I have actually been late a few times without too much guilt attached!  It has been a struggle, though!

For your potato chips do you prefer ridged or flat ones?

Ridged, wavy, corrugated…. I like these best.. they hold up well with dip!  When I was a kid, I used to make bologna sandwiches and smash potato chips on top of the bologna before adding the top of the bun.  Weird?  Kind of makes me gag now.

If you could inherit a vacation home anywhere in the world in which you could spend two months a year, where would it be?

Near the ocean.   I think either the northeast or northwest…. I love the ocean but would like to avoid tropical locations and heat and humidity.

Thanks to Cee for the great questions…. you can visit her here…..

  2. My weird sandwiches were butter and white Karo syrup. That has to be good for the arteries. And skillet toast – frying a piece of bread in Crisco.

  7. Ruth, these would have been my EXACT answers, how strange to read about someone’s love of ridged chips and then further read she smashes them in bologna sandwiches!! I wake up at 5:30 every morning, no alarm needed. It’s my most productive time of day. By 3:00 I start winding down lol! I’m also early or at the very least, on time for things. The ocean answer, check, check check!!!

PS- I think I would have made a good farmer!
