The Art Gallery

Farmers and art galleries would seem to be an unlikely combination.   But on a particular sunny, beautiful fall day in the state of Ohio, it was a good fit. We have been to various art museums over the years.  It’s just not something we do very often.  This particular day was  very enjoyable because the art we came to view was created by a neighbor and  the subject matter was totally rural.  The artist, herself, is farm girl from the beginning.  And she lives just a few miles down the road.  She is already well-known locally for her work which is displayed at our county fairgrounds.  Her artwork has been featured on magazine covers and she has been commissioned to do many pieces.

The tiny art gallery was tucked behind a fence on a quiet street off the main thoroughfare, hidden enough that we had to search and stop and ask directions. I am guessing there were probably more rural people in that area of our capital city than there had been in a while.

I could write more about this talented lady, but since I don’t have permission to post her work I will send you over to her website and you can see for yourself.
