Day 10 NaBloPoMo

NaBloPoMo_2015_0

This is the first challenge I have taken as a blogger and I have to admit, it’s not as easy as I thought it would be.  Blog every day for a month.  That’s all.  You are even given a list of daily writing prompts if you choose to use them or if you run out of ideas. In addition, it’s  correct blogging etiquette to read and comment on other bloggers contributions as well.

I started out ahead of the game, writing my first three blogs the night before and scheduling them to post the next day.  Then came Day 4 and I was pressed for time.  I had no time to think, or edit, or rewrite.  It wasn’t the way I liked to post things.  But it did take me out of my comfort zone.

I’m not a procrastinator but I do have trouble prioritizing what I should do every day. This has only been an issue since I retired because, well… there will always be time tomorrow.

So far I have enjoyed the challenge and it has helped me clean out some old drafts that needed to be finished or deleted.  I have enjoyed reading what other bloggers have to say and have found a few that I am now following.   Finding time is always the biggest roadblock.  But that’s true for any type of writing.

So…. fellow NaBloPoMo bloggers…. how goes it for you?

Definitely with you on this one. I was ruminating on how we aren’t even half way through the month and already I’m feeling like … meh, not sure if I can push through another two and a half weeks. I do like the scheduling do-dah but then I enthusiastically scheduled two posts for the same day and threw myself off track. You are not alone and good to see you still going 🙂 Linda

  2. It’s a bit of a challenge, but I am winning at the moment…just. If WordPress didn’t have the clever scheduling facility then I would be lost!

I am in complete agreement with you. I undertook this task to challenge myself. It’s now day 11 and like you I write mine ahead of time and schedule them but finding the time to write has been the biggest challenge. I hope your journey through this month goes well and all the best. 🙂
